Millburn’s Leading Antisemite
EMILY KONOPINSKI

Emily Konopinski is the owner of Green Door Studio, an art gallery in Millburn, New Jersey, that featured an antisemitic art collection by artist Kyle Goen. Messages and imagery used by the Free Palestine movement, such as Globalize the Intifada and images of famed terrorist hijacker Leila Khaled, appalled demonstrators who came to protest the call to violence against Jewish people.
DEMAND AN APOLOGY FROM EMILY KONOPINSKI

Tali Gillette travelled to New Jersey to attend the peaceful demonstration among community members in Millburn and other neighboring towns. She said, “Far from being just another artist, Goen is a key architect of an insidious network that has spent decades embedding antisemitic, anti-American, and anarchist ideologies into movements like Occupy Wall Street, Decolonize This Place, BLM, BDS, and Free Palestine, all under the guise of social justice.”

“This isn’t about art, it’s about a legacy of deception designed to divide communities.”, Gillete said.
But when confronted with criticism over the exhibit, Emily Konopinski doubled down and refused to apologize to Jewish community members: “Facts are important, and many falsehoods are being widely spread,” she said.
“As an art gallery owner I am designing an experience in order to make us think, make us move, make us pause, or maybe make us change.”
Emily Konopinski’s failure to confront the hateful, violent, antisemitic messages at her art studio has led to outrage. Now, the community must hold her accountable by demanding an apology for allowing this hatred to thrive in our community.
